About SUOSDEY

Brand background and key notes.

SUOSDEY was founded in 2014 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, by a group of local entrepreneurs eager to promote traditional Cambodian craftsmanship while supporting local communities. The name "SUOSDEY" means "hello" in Khmer, symbolising the warmth and hospitality that characterise Cambodian culture.

Initially, the brand focused on creating handcrafted products such as bags, accessories, and clothing made from local materials. The creators of SUOSDEY sought to combine traditional craftsmanship with contemporary designs, appealing to both local and international markets. The artisans working for SUOSDEY are primarily women, which has also contributed to the economic empowerment of the communities in which the brand operates.

Over the years, SUOSDEY has expanded its product range, incorporating homeware and gift items while maintaining a strong commitment to sustainability and ethics. The brand began participating in craft fairs and events at both national and international levels, allowing it to increase its visibility and gain recognition beyond Cambodia's borders.

In 2019, SUOSDEY opened its first physical store in Phnom Penh, enabling customers to experience the collections firsthand. At the same time, the brand developed its online presence, making its products accessible to a global audience. Today, SUOSDEY is recognised as an iconic brand from Cambodia, representing the harmony between tradition and modernity while supporting sustainable development.
